President (2 Year Position)
The President shall preside at all meetings, give leadership to the organization, stimulate all members to their best efforts on behalf of this Association; shall also be a member ex officio of all committees; and shall perform all other duties usually pertaining to the office.
Specific Duties:
Time Commitment: The time commitment for this position is fairly extensive and requires some daytime availability for meetings and/or activities. If the President is a working parent they should have a flexible work schedule.
Presides over Executive Board and all general meetings.
Prepares the agenda for the Executive Board meetings.
Coordinates Home & School activities in conjunction with event chairpersons.
Attends all or most of the scheduled activities of the Home & School Association.
Works cooperatively with the Principal to ensure communication between the Home & School Association and the school administration, faculty and parish ministries.
Vice-President (2 Year Position)
The Vice-President shall perform the duties of the President in his/her absence and if the office of President becomes vacant he/she shall assume the duties of the president until the next annual election. He/She shall also be an ex-officio member of all committees.

Time Commitment: The time commitment for this position is fairly extensive and requires some daytime availability for meetings and/or activities. If the Vice President is a working parent, they should have a flexible work schedule.
Acts in the absence of the President and performs other duties as assigned.
Secretary (2 Year Position)
The secretary is responsible for keeping an accurate record of the proceedings of the Home & School Association meetings and produces the Home & School newsletter weekly.
Specific Duties:
Time commitment: Must be able to attend monthly board meetings (1 hour/month). Preparing and distributing of minutes and the production of the newsletter weekly are the most time-consuming tasks. This job is great for a working parent.
Keep an accurate, concise, permanent record of the proceedings of all meetings of the association and of the executive board.
Have on hand for reference at each meeting a copy of the bylaws and the minutes of previous meetings.
Prepare the minutes and email copies to each member of the board soon after each meeting.
Make all corrections to the official minutes.
Responsible for making any updates to the bylaws of the association.
Coordinates the production of the Home and School newsletter. Weekly issues are produced and distributed electronically to the membership via an online platform, Smore. These issues are also made available to members on the school’s website.
