In an effort to encourage and affirm students in grades 4 through 8 whose academic, social and behavioral performance is outstanding, Holy Family RCS will acknowledge their effort and achievement with a certificate of academic honors, at the end of each The criteria for such acknowledgment are as follows. Recognition is given to students in grades 4 to 8 who meet the following standards:
First Honors
Students must have a general average of 93 or above, with nothing below a 90 in a major subject. While Art, Library, Music, Physical Education, World Languages and Technology are not included in the general average, a 3 or 4 is required to achieve First Honors. In addition a 3 or 4 is required in Personal and Social Growth and Effort and Study Skills. Student must also have a good conduct record.
Second Honors
Students must have a general average of 88 or above, with nothing below an 85 in a major subject. While Art, Library, Music, Physical Education, World Languages and Technology are not included in the general average, a 3 or 4 is required to achieve Second Honors. In addition a 3 or 4 is required in Personal and Social Growth and Effort and Study Skills. Students must also have a good conduct record.
